Our Story

Driven by a passion for the ocean, fashion and life itself, in 2012 Joanna decided to follow her dream. That summer, Sueño Swim was born.

From sandy beaches, surfing waves, adventures in the sun and summer festivals, Sueño Swim’s quality and style always stands apart. Detail oriented, soft fabric with fun, bright colours and bold prints fuse functional surf wear with sexy, eye-catching, unique designs that are perfect for adventure seekers and sun lovers. Each swimsuit is designed to stay on in the surf but also look great on the beach.

 Joanna studied Fashion & Contour Design at De Montfort University in Leicester, UK, with a focus in swimwear, which lead to the design and creation of high quality, perfectly fitting bikinis. The goal: to adjust each pattern delicately enough so that they flatter the body in just the right place while still keeping the functionality every active women desires.

 Most pieces are made to order in our ocean front studio in Black Point, Nova Scotia. For this reason, I can customise each piece to fit you perfectly, OR, I can create a completely new design just for YOU!
